SOCIAL MEDIA CHECKS

As part of our production process, the Company will perform (and/or procure one or more third party service providers perform) general and social media background checks on applicants at various stages of the process (the “Background Checks”).

We use a company called YHH Technologies Ltd trading as Social Media Check (“SMC”) to conduct a background check on your social media accounts. SMC will vet your historical social media posts. Details of SMC can be found on their website: https://socialmediacheck.com/.

In order to conduct the Background Checks, we and SMC will require you to provide certain personal information together with supporting documentation (the “Information”).

The Background Check conducted by SMC will cover your Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts. Note: If you have multiple accounts including any business accounts for businesses that you (either solely or jointly) own, operate or control, please disclose them all on the form to be provided to you by SMC.

For the purposes of the Background Checks the Company undertakes, FremantleMedia Limited is the data controller responsible for your information. If you have any questions, please email us at privacy.officer@fremantle.com.
