Thank you for your interest in applying for our new property and renovation series!Channel 4 and Spark Media North are building on hit series Chateau DIY with a brand-new competition series offering twelve pairs of Brits the chance to win their own chateau in France. Chateau DIY: Win the Dream will see aspiring chatelains compete in challenges to prove they have what it takes to win a life-changing prize. Challengers will compete testing their skills in design, renovation, and business acumen: essential traits they’ll need for running their own property. Eligibility Criteria (please tick to approve you both read and approved the Eligibility Criteria)
You must be aged 18 years of age at the time of application.
You must be a UK resident who does not pay tax in non-UK country. You will also be asked to provide photo identification and current proof of address.
You must not be currently employed by us or Channel 4 and have not been previously employed by us or Channel 4 during the past 5 (five) years.
If you have a live-in partner or immediate relative (i.e. mother, father, son, daughter, brother or sister) who is an employee of ours or Channel 4, you must inform us on the application form.
You must be able to demonstrate to our satisfaction that you have the legal right to live and work in the UK. If your right to live and work in the UK is only temporary you agree to inform us immediately and we shall be entitled to exercise our discretion on the matter in deciding whether or not to include you in the selection process for the Programme. Failure to inform us may result in us withdrawing you from the selection process for the Programme.
If you are formally selected as a contestant or standby for the Programme, you must be able to enter into freely without restriction* a contestant agreement with us.
Must have a valid UK passport with at least 12 months remaining before expiration from the start of May. If applicants will be going over their 90-day travel allowance, we will expect you to have a Schengen visa in place.
Enter into a non-disclosure agreement with Spark Media North and CHANNEL 4 agreeing not to disclose details of the application process and production process, details of the prize, and details of the shows results until after transmission.
